I am a Catholic layman who has dedicated this website to the evangelization of the
Catholic faith in defense against modern skepticism, heresy and unbelief. I believe
wholeheartedly in fides et ratio (faith and reason are compatible) and believe that
the major stumbling block in modern evangelization is a lack of proper catechesis among
Catholics, and a prevailing laxity of thought that dominates the culture of most modern
nonbelievers. In essence, it is my belief that many Catholics lack an ardent faith because
they do not understand their religion. I also believe that agnosticism is prevalent in our
culture because modern culture does not encourage or promote the idea that faith can be
rational. Few nonbelievers are willing to study religion and philosophy
enough to choose wisely between theism and atheism. It is therefore my
goal to address both needs in an attempt to spread the good news to all who are willing to
open their heart and mind.
Although I do not have formal theological training, I have made every effort to teach
the Catholic faith accurately and honestly by referring to four main sources: quotations
from the Bible, references to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, reference to the Summa
Theologica of Saint Thomas Aquinas, and the guidance of Fundamentals of Catholic
Dogma written by Dr. Ludwig Ott. I did receive some philosophical
